I've been searching craigslist many times a day but also want to see what you guys have got here.

It has to be a 5-speed and I would like fairly low miles, but other than that I'm open to everything.

I also like black and any blue colored car more than the other colors

As far as price, the lower the better obviously, but I'm not looking to spend more than about $6k.

Thanks, but they're both quite high mileage compared to the '98 OBS with 75k on it (!!!) for under $4k.

Nate if u din't go right out and test-drive that OBS with 75k on it, I wonder if u are really serious about buying one. That is exceptionally low mileage, whaddya want, 6k on it??

Remember not to don't hurt yourself with 'analysis paralysis' where you over-think everything to the point of ongoing inaction!

guilty as charged, but it looks like the OBS has an unpainted-black front bumper, which is a bad sign, right?

things have been super busy, I may have some time this weekend (maybe). I still have to return a call to Herb's BMW in Boston to see if they can have a car moved to a closer dealership for a test drive

How easy or hard is it for me to get a test drive as a young teenager? I drove one Legacy this summer when we were looking but that was in a parking lot when they let my dad take it alone.

I stalled it twice, but I did much better with my friend's Impreza

O the joys of buying (and selling) used cars!

as a young'un you probly well advised to shop only in company of a 'responsible adult'

this gives seller more confidence to let you go for test drives (tho why seller wouln't go with you I dunno), and gives you as buyer some added clout in negotiation over stuff like unexplained bumper replacements and the like

well yeah, I woudn't go without a parent anyway...

the obs front bumper isn't painted but it couldn't have been anything major cause everything else is stll stock paint so it could of just been cracked or something.i bought a obs 2 years ago that had a cracked front bumper cause it got bumped at 5mph during the winter when it was -5 below zero and it pretty much split the bumper in half cause the plastic was so hard cause of the temp. so don't be discouraged about a bumper change that is easy repainted at the paint shop for $200
