Wtb: 97 Auto Trans

Looking for a good trans, I believe any auto from 93-98 Impreza will do. Cheapest I can get at a junkyard is $200 with warranty so it needs to be cheaper than that.

 
Call Joel at Evergreen. I gave him my extra 97 automatic. I paid 75 for it several years ago off a craigslist add, never used it. Don't know if its any good but Joel might want it out of storage at work. He might not want to sell it. He might be saving it for shortpunk's car.

The junk yard tranny $200 with 30 day warranty is pretty good.

I think there is a diff. You will probably need a 96-98 obd2 tranny

And you could always go and check my junkyard in Freeport there might be one there but I am not pos.

Yeah car-part.com lists 97-98 so I was going to try to stick to that. I think its just the vss that's different and you can swap, but im not positive

How much would one be out of your yard?

If I had a reason to pull the trans and rear end out of my legacy, I'd let it go pretty cheap... Would you be interested? 4.44 and matching rear end?

It has 230k, but works perfectly with no torque bind or hard shifting.

EDIT: it's a 98.
