xt6 2.7 liter

boxer3main

<1.8 liter
Upon chance I checked if this engine was available, and found one with 77k miles.

I do have a thorough manual, and the engine is a bit goofy in diagrams. they definately "glued" the ea82 to get the 2.7 liter..

I am curious as to anyone who has run it. Never heard one run, never saw one.

Pretty much the same idea of the eg33, just ej22s being "glued" together.

Except the ej22 is better

If you want to hear one run, go on youtube..

so an ej four would be better than the older xt 6... and the eg33 is better than both, however gentle they ship it, it can be made bigger.

ok here is a quick ???question???... what about the H6 3.0l in the outbacks starting in roughly 2001? how are those for reliable?

They are great!! Timing chain motor, and very little ever goes wrong with them that I have ever heard of.

sweet!

I've thought about those a lot! they had 212 hp 210 lb.-ft. of peak torque!!! that's roughly 50 more horsepowers more then the 2.5l n/a and its only .8 inches longer!

Yep! The EZ30D will drop right in, all you have to do is wiring, exhaust and a few other little things! No major cutting things up like an EG33 swap.

its a slush-o-matic....but we got talking the other day about how nice it would be to have roughly 50 more horses! someday this will have to happen !!!1998 Subaru Legacy 3.0GT!!! YES!

Ok well than as well as any other Subaru auto. It would be fine, just remember, the more you beat on it, the more chance there is of something breaking, as with anything really! Haha

I'd rephrase that a bit and say "the more you beat on it the sooner it will beak" ... Nothing is going to last forever, it's all going to break in the end. So since everything is going to break in the end, have fun with it now!
