I'm coming up and about time to replace the front brakes on the Legacy.

I've been looking around, and I've seen some really great reviews on some akebono act 929.

Has anyone used these to replace their brakes? I like putting something reliable and quality that will ensure I stop when I need to :)

I found some on Rock Auto, and Amazon not cheap, but they aren't bad, I've priced them about $40-45 from Amazon

Just wanted to get some of your opinions on them.

Akebono are made in the USA if that matters to you. It makes for a quality brake no doubt about it.

If you want to put a few extra $ go right ahead - especially if it's a daily driver.
