FS: snow tires 205/55/16

i know this is an odd question to ask, but do you think the offset of the rims would work for a 1998 pontiac grand am gt with 16inch rims? my girlfriends car needs some rims and tires (alloys have begun to leak horribly) and shes going to need a set of snows fairly soon, shes getting a bit of money come the end of the month so a purchase would not be able to be made til then, granted the offset would work
