It's a pre-production model the tech guys are driving. Real freekin' nice! The interior is a lot like a 08 Impreza, the outside is about the size of a Ford Escape. It got some really cool features like a nice sturdy flip-out rear cup holder and the center console opens right up so you could just about fit a bag of groceries in there. 225/55R17's. The seats in this LL Bean one are real comfy. The leather is softer than last year. Still has a huge sunroof. It's much more SUV, less tall station wagon. I'd actually buy one for the wife now.

how big is it?

of you get a chance take a couple next to your car or an old body style forester for reference.

 
I'd like to know dimensions, etc as well. I think the next vehicle we get (to replace wifey's Suzuki Forenza) may be something Highlander hybrid-ish, and if the 09 Forester exhibits some of the inevitable weight/size gain from this to next year, it may well be in the running.

We needed an SUV. People ask me all the time if Subaru makes one. And it is quite a bit bigger/taller than the last one. The interior is real roomy and nice.

Not a real good picture, but you can see the Leggy parked in front of it.

Note the dual tail pipes

I'm sure it's not for everyone, but we needed this in the showroom.

what the hell was the tribeca? I was under the impression that it was the "SUMinivan"

People ask if we have an SUV. i'm like, "Tribeca?" They're like, "no'

"Do you have a minivan?" I'm like, "Tribeca?" They're like, "no"

They shoulda put a sliding door on the Tribeca. Then it would at least fit into a class.
