2009 Forester just rolled in...

I'll be intersted to see the JDM STi Forester... Seems a little big. I hope Subaru introduces another small/mid-size wagon in turbo form since you can't get a Leggy GT wagon in a 5MT anymore and the new Forester is big.

My bad... I should have clarified...

a NON IMPREZA wagon.

I really want a Legacy GT Wagon 5MT. I don't want to have to buy an Outback XT and lower it.

Boy, I lose power for one night and look what happens. I miss all the action!

So yeah. I LOVE Foresters, but I'm having trouble with this one. It looks like Tribeca big. Its the way they shaped its rear, it just looks so Escape-y, RAV4-ish... (maybe even bigger than the RAV4, but I couldn't think of what that model is) And I agree with everyone in saying, I thought the Tribeca was an SUV?

I'm having an inner battle with myself, trying to decide whether this would make a good Tribeca replacement, or if I actually think this looks better than Tribeca... (I've never like Tribeca's since day one... Sorry.) This is just so different then the glorious Forester that I love. But I suppose that's what a Subaru fan has got to deal with; change. Their models go through serious changes in short time spans. It's a hard reality to face when you're in love with a previous generation.

BTW, is the '08 Tribeca that Chrysler looking thing? I was just on subaru.com and saw that and figured it hasn't had a major sheet metal change yet. Since this Forester is becoming more SUV like, I think Subaru should come back with their 4wd ;D Seriously. I love my hi and low range. It could spark such a oldschool subaruer offroad revolution, Subaru wouldn't know what hit them.

Oh well... I suppose it'll grow on me. The Impreza is starting to. I'm still a little angry about it, but I'll get over it.

Say what you want, but this is nice. We lose sales to the taller riding cute-ute's all the time. It's still gonna handle better than the others due to the lower COG of the boxer.

It's just like when the 03 Forester came out and everyone said "It's huge!" It's all happening again. Give it some time. A mesh grill and some lowering springs will make that a hawt ride. Big, but hawt. And from what i've been reading already it handles waaaay better than the SG Forester...

so... I guess this version is the SH Forester? Can you verify that Joel? I hope it's not an raisin Forester.

In my parts cataloging it's refered to as a S12, but the SG's are called S11. Go figure...

I'll have to wait until I see a VIN.
