Heh, I'm officially sick of overpriced rooms at Sunday river and was gonna ask YOU about camping!Where are folks staying? I'm officially sick of camping and want to be near the action.

Grand Summit.Where are folks staying? I'm officially sick of camping and want to be near the action.
we should check with Steve McK and split one of those larger rooms. ok so somebody either sleeps together or on the floor, but the showers are WAY better than at a campground...Looks like the "Norseman" is the best deal around, with rooms for $88/night with one queen bed (max 2 people in the room), or rooms with two queens for $104/night with a max of four people.
Sunday River wanted to charge me $145/night for a condo with no air conditioning.
So - anyone want to pool resources for rooms? I'll lead the effort if others are interested.
if you can do both days, then yes 15 and 16. volunteer meeting is very early on work days, so you might want to come up night before. If I did volunteer, what days would I have to be up there? Just the 15th and 16th?
If so, I could borrow a slice of your floor for the night of the 15th.
if several ppl can chip in, the SR rooms are not so bad. I'll contribute no question. then it's easy to make it to early am worker meetings, etcWell, here's something - I just got off the phone with the River View Resort (www.riverviewresort.com/), and all their rooms are suites. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has two twins. There's a full kitchen and living room (with a couch for additional crash-age).
It's also close to the action, and it's $36/night less than SR...with AC. I'm going up on the 13th, not the 12th (I have class on the 12th and 14th, so it would have been dumb to drive between Yarmouth and SR six times during the rally).
Anyone else want in? She's quoted me $109 a night for a suite. I'll have space the night of the 13th and 14th at least, and space all four nights if you don't mind floors or couches.
Nigel, you and Pedro definitely know what you're doing...let me see if the others in my party are down for the SR-style accommodations. Also, did you already check with McK, or would you like me to do that? We've been emailing sporadically, so it's easy to reach out.
Stein, bed space on the 14th is available. Floor space is always available
Pedro, I hate you a little for showing me the HAM site. I've been taking practice tests obsessively. I do terribly because I haven't read, but by now I've seen enough test questions to have memorized a little.
