Age old question power or handling?

heh, there are several members here on MS who could be poster chilluns for that fact!

I have done both first on different cars and wish I had reversed the order and then realized I should've just saved until I could do both at once. For example when I had my Mustang I was so excited about the power gains I went for power first, not realizing I would create an understeering, fishtailing, death trap. Then when I got my 240SX I was excited about the g's I could build and then realized I was only as fast as a Miata.

I'm going to go off the beaten path and say tires.

One of the best improvements you can make, especially in Maine, is separate winter and summer tires. I've heard arguments that performance all seasons are fine, but in Maine I'd personally rather have two sets of tires. Some of the scoobs come with RE92's and they're terrible. Tires are the thing that connects your car to the road, so all the power and suspension isn't going to do jack if you're tires suck.

After tires I say suspension then power.

so ya gonna race the FXT? haven't seen ya since ?Union?

Yah we plan to get to a couple races this summer. We are coming out of hibernation, it feels good. Can't wait to get the torque of this 2.5 in the dirt. My skidplate and flaps don't swap over from the wagon so I am getting something worked out. Not long now.
