Any Cops In here? Charged with furnishing...

I was at a woods party last night where there were people under 21 drinking.. I showed up with my backpack with my beer and Alcohol in it.. When the party got busted I was the only one over 21 that got caught so I was charged with furnishing to a minor.. Mind you I walked there and Had my beer in my own backpack.. I did not provide a minor with any alcohol I brought.. What am I looking at for a first time offence? And would it be worth it to seek an attorney? Thank you guys.

If they can`t match the beer( brand ) you brought with the beer the under aged kids had maybe they will go easy on you. GL man.

Sounds like a good reason to stop drinking and maybe not go to parties where there are, or could be be young kinds!!! I had a friend in school who got in big trouble in this situation!! I hope you get off easy, but also learn from it, and know it could have all been avoided.

It doesn't matter. He was at a party, drinking while there were under age kids there as well.....that were drinking. He was the only one that was of legal age. Bad place to be with a back pack full of booze!

I had 5 beers in my backpack and could of passed the Breathalyzer with what I had drank before they showed up, and he called me an alcoholic... Thanks for the input guys Calling my lawyer Tuesday.

Yeah that's BS for him to have done that. Not slamming on ya man, just pointing out why it looks bad for you in the situation. You being the only "adult" at a party with a bunch of "kids", with everyone drinking, and you being the one with alcohol. Not saying you actually gave the minors anything, just saying it was a bad place to put yourself, and now you might really pay for it. Definitely get a lawyer, and keep your story straight!!
