Are you a cop magnet too?

hey you are up here right? i will give you a shout sometimes when we go have some winter fun.
you are aware of the county road and Stud mill road right? there are some roads out there about 15 miles that we can play all night long and not see a single other car.
Nah, I live about 2 hours south of you if I'm correct in where Indian Island is

Thanks for the offer. I am up in the area on occasion, if it falls at the same time as your winter fun I'd love to push my studs to the test

No tickets for me since 2006. The last time it happened it was the second time in 6 months. I had a good record for 2 years before that though so I had an extra point to lose and kept my licence by 1 point. I have kept it clean since then. No tickets or pullovers at all since I bought the WRX.

I had 4 tickets in the 6 years I owned my last car and multiple warnings. 1 ticket with each of the 2 cars before that. The first ticket I ever got was in my Subaru GL-10 Turbo. It was 1 month short of the end of my provisional licence period, 2 years long at the time I think, I lost my license for 60 days I think it was. I was doing 73 in a 55. After that every ticked I ever got was for 15-20mph over. One of the tickets in my last car was for "failure to yeild when entering a public way". I took it to Court, fought it and won! Turned out in order for the officer to claim that, I had to be exiting a private way, I was not.

ya im a cop magnet i was givin a hard time in a for sail parking lot out in the middle of now where practicing for a solo and lucky got off but that same cop has pulled me over more than once..

I try not to be ...

I've only had one speeding ticket, but I've been pulled over for numerous stupid things.

One time, on the way home to Portland from my friend's place in Windham, I got stopped at 2 in the morning for my license plate being "crooked". He just wanted to make sure that I was "okay" because it was crooked. Then asked what year my car was and said that it looked like it was in rough shape. He was BEGGING for a reason to give me a ticket. I got home, plate was fine. Wish I would have written down his name for harassing me.

last time was in 2005, got a ticket on 95 heading to PA. 80 in a 65. That was the last time. Before that, a handful of times. Few speeing tickets, few registrations, and a few no stop for stop signs.

I got pulled over about a year ago in my old car for doing 41 in a 25. I got a warning when I asked the cop at what point in the last 5 miles did I go through a 25mph zone, because it was all marked 55mph and 45mph. He then gave me some spiel about the D.O.T. Urban Compact Zone sign meaning it was a 25mph zone. The D.O.T sign is followed 50ft later by a 45mph sign. He gave me a warning citing "Speed" and nothing else. He also did not sign the warning slip and I didn't get his name so I could not complain, jerk. He proceeded to ask me if I "had a boombox in the trunk or something" because I had a kenwood vinyl on my rear windshield. I also had my computer in the backseat and he asked me if it was mine.....

I drive pretty slow on the road. Usually maxed out at 5 over...only rarely reaching 10 over. My driving simply doesn't change when the conditions do. I still carry on at 5-10 over while people are pulling over during a blizzard...

That's awesome that you used to have a GL-10!!!! And sounds like it went ok:lol:

I have two tickets for loud exhaust. From my ricer days. since then I have been pulled over once. For speeding, I had just returned from Iraq and the cop was a veteran of the first gulf war. He gave me a warning for 70 in a 50, and reminded me that I was home now and needed to slow down. I'm just glad he didn't know that it was a 45.

I'm sure he did know. If a cop doesn't want to get you in trouble, he won't.

Kinda. The first 9 months I owned it, it had a huge hole in the manifold. Therefore the turbo did nothing. Then once I fixed the manifold, it still wasn't that fast a car... or at least it didn't feel that fast. I had it to 110mph though.. lol. It was a little faster than my parents 5 speed 92 loyal.

I don't even have to try.

true. mine isn't as bad now that I dropped the red flaps, but I still have the lights on the bumper (soon to be larger and more numerous)

but I have only had problems when I was blatantly speeding (still no ticket though
