So......

well i have officially entered into the Black River Stages Rally as a codriver with Kevin Turner (Mr Toads son).

we will be rocking a 1994 Impreza FWD 1.8L of fury.

this will be the first event for both of us and we are totally excited and looking forward to this event!

more info to follow as the event draws near.

first off a big thanks to Nigel for being my jedi master and me the apprentice.

the Race is September 19-20 in Harrisville NY.

we are follwing in pretty big footsteps of other maine rallyists that inspired and helped us discover this wonderful sport.

 
Will be working the rally as one of the stewards, kind of like an umpire to make sure nobody gets away with stuff, especially them wily Irish lads!

Also shepherding the new guys, that's one of the best parts.

See yez all there, my assignement is to hang around service and see what's up with all the teams as they come in and go back out.

thanks for the well wishes, we are going to be needing them. our mission for the first year is to FINISH every race we enter. then as we improve and get better we will be looking to drive harder.

So, here's in update so far this weekend..

Thursday:

Arrived to Watertown New York at about 8pm.. After taking a detour through Burlington VT. (that was for me) Checked into the hotel, Ate some Fine Watertown NY Cuisine (Wendy's) and some Yuengling Beer. (tasty) and went to bed.

Friday:

Up at 9ish.. Breakfast at the Hotel's Free breakfasts, then to source tidbits. Found Lowe's and Autozone. Went to Diana Town offices to register, and Tech the car.. no major issues there.. Then Rob broke his Cell phone.. SO I was sent back to Watertown to source a new phone.. Mr. Toad arrived, Rob, Kevin, Jim, and Phil (another tech guy from the rez) stayed for the NCO meeting (Newbs class) as I went to fix Rob's phone.. Order Pizza, Fixed the minor stuff on the car, adjusted Lights, and now at 1am, everyone else is sleeping. Rally officially starts at 3pmish tomorrow. I would give live updates from the service, but Up here in Amish Country, They don't use T-Mobile.. Only verizon... so there...

I have a few pics posted up on the facebook account (search ReZDoG) and I will get more up tomorrow night when we get back.

 
Well, Cars are at Parc Expose right now. Here at Service I found some WiFi so i'll be able to give updates if anyone is intrested.
