Black River Stages

Well Day 1 is in the books.. Not without problems.. Kevin and Rob passed 2 cars. and came into final service with a flat.. I cannot find live scores, but Mccormick I hear is in the lead. Major off today, Bob Olson crashed hard causing the red cross to be thrown. They both were sent to the Hospital Bob Complaining of Difficulty breathing, most likely due to Broken ribs, and Conrad was still not being allowed to sit up.. Both went for MRIs. Haven't heard any thing else at this point. day 2 starts 9am.. see you there,

 
started last car 20 of 20, passed a few cars along the way

reseeded 12th on sunday, traded times with simon wright and his son all day long. couldn't make up the 50 second gap they opened on Day 1, but still beat them on the last 3 stages by a total of 10 seconds.

ended the day 10th over all and 2nd in Modified 2, my first rally trophy!

Kevin drove a great race and rarely put a wheel wrong. i missed some notes here and there, he was getting faster and i wasnt adjusting to his speed and got behind once or twice. but easyily 14 of 17 stages i was spot on the note and we hauled ass.

it was nice to see Nigel there around the rally working hard but also coming back to see how we were doing and with every stage we finished i think his smile got bigger and bigger. like a proud master seeing his apprentice do well. thank you dave.

thanks to my loving wife who has put up with all this rally talk for the last 7 years and showing encouragement, when it was finally going to be my turn to race.

also to Mr Toad, RezDog, Last Ditch Racing, and Phil for all your hardwork this weekend and teachings along the way.

time to load the car and start the 11 hour ride home.
