You would have to get a flange adapter for your turbo. wrx is a 2 bolt flange off the compressor outlet, STi is a nipple.

Ah ok. I just thought it was a cost effective solution for a TMIC. If it's going to require that much, not sure if it's worth it. It could be worth a try at least.

I wonder if they have flange adapters for a FMIC kit for the WRX. You could use that maybe?

They do make a flange for the fmic kits, but you can't purchase them separately. I had an 09 WRX and have an 08 STi, so I have looked up those parts lol

Wow, this thread finally happened. Nice work Carter.

Now we need pics

The Process West intercooler comes with an adapter that turns the 2 bolts on the compressor side to a nipple. The adapter piece would be very easy to duplicate, it would just be as simple as finding the correct hose to connect the intercooler to the turbo. Then you have to deal with the TB side, which on the WRX is very different. Basically, you are looking at a lot of R&D to get a hose that will fit properly. Then it's an issue of securing the unit. Since the STi doesn't use the same mounting hardware, you would be fabricating mounts for it. Then, let's look at the splitter issue. Since it's so much bigger you would probably need an STi splitter, which would run about $110 from Subarugenuine parts. So yea, the Process West unit is almost $1000 new, but the fitment is perfect and you get a great product. I don't know if it would be worth it. However, there's probably a business model there for the enthusiast that could create such a kit that included everything!

Oh Yea..P.S. Carter copied my idea of getting a Process West TMIC

No way, stock intercooler is where it's at! Love the plastic components...I was looking at the FMS because I can probably get a really good deal on it. I'm guessing there is not much performance difference. Well nothing you work actually feel on the butt dyno at least. Just my .02!

Yay or Nay? This helps with my LED's in the direct light.
