Clutch cable broke... Now what?

Yeah that sucks!! My step dad has a 98 that needs oil seals, and cv axles and a few other odds and ends. Sucks when the money isn't there to just have it fixed!
Yea, it does suck. It has so much potential. Just with an alignment, some new struts/springs, and if I found the time to pull out the engine... I have no garage, so wouldn't happen till work calms down late summer. I'll see.

Well when it comes time, if you need a hand, lemme know

Definitely! thanks for the offer. I could definitely borrow some tools and use a hand getting things apart, like engine/tranny separation, etc. Maybe even add a turbo. haha.

Haha yeah!! But yeah anytime!!!

So I went to EG and got the cable today. Got home, took about 45 mins and I had it all installed and adjusted. Works great! much smoother than the old one!

But one problem ... When I was pulling the old cable out I couldn't actually reach where it goes through the firewall from the engine bay side because it is under the brake booster (and I have big hands and can't reach it). So I had to push the rubber boot out from the inside. And while doing that I thought ... I'm never going to get the new one back in here. And well ... I can't. Any suggestions? Tricks? Or do I just need to try harder?

BTW, thanks for all the advise. I really appreciate it. I'm glad to have my car back

you can reach that hole pretty well from underneath the car (up past inboard end of driver side halfshaft).... way easier than doing the octopus finger thing under the brake booster from above
