So I picked up the yota finally. 87 reg cab 4x4 5 spd with no power steering / ac or any other options. It's got the 22r motor sitting in an 89 4 runner v6 chassis. No rot of the frame and just needs a little drivers side rocker panel attention.
Picked up the rs hood from gabe and did about 3 hrs of demo and panel replacement. I'll put the hood on later and get down to the body shop for my final paint quote
Dear Matt,, plz msg me link to those sexay headlites. Got a stone hole in my good one, the other one is all cloudy, o horroRs, see what havoc 13 Maine winters (and untold dirt miles) can do.
I can't find the old info on the shock hoop. but they are F250 shock mounts. It allows a larger shock in the front since the tiny factory sized units blow out all the time.
Thanks man. I'm just enjoying the simplicity of it.
Shoot me a price Pedro. I may have interest in them. Looks like the rear is already lifted with all pro shackles. I just need to make a bed cage and shes done.
Lol. Its also got a white hood with a green a a scoop!!! It's all good though. Still needs paint. I'm pretty sure they don't make that grill any more so I'm happy it didn't get ruined.
That is a pretty nice truck matt, even cooler since the frame isn't rotted in half! Older jap trucks are notorious for.that. Has the potential to be a sweet wheelin rig for sure.
Btw, those lights do look really good all blacked out and with a crystal clear lense. Do stock ones have that clear of lense?
They prob were at one time when they were new. Over 12 years of being sandblasted and such it def wears the glass out. I'm just happy they were so cheap. I mean 150 for glass headlamps blacked out with corners. Awesome deal
All stripped for the body shop. I'll pull the bumper and turn signals when I get there. Color is staying secret unless I've already told you. Don't spill the beans!!!! Should be back in a week or so.
