, no the side stickers are just really hard to take off. The badges however are pretty easy. Just watch out for ghost letters. You have a 2001 white car, there might be some built up dirt underneath. But do it anyways! Itll clean up eventually.

 
I debadged my son's 2000 Forester. There are 2 tiny pin holes in the hatch metal underneath 2 of the letters in SUBARU. Don't debadge unless you have a plan for the 2 holes.

It looks waaaaaaaay better with nothing back there

yes.

they use the holes to align the jynormous 'SUBARU' badge. There are tiny plastic tabs attached to the first 'U' and 'R'. They are around 2-3mm diam each.

We're going to do what nailman did, weld up holes and repaint, eventually. In the mean time we filled our holes with goo sealant and touch up pinner holes with touch up paint. Still 100x betterer than the big huge badge.
