pars 72 btw

There's a few courses up my way at the ski areas. Plus, I've played at two other courses about 30-45 minutes away.

Personal best 117 combined at Woodland Valley yesterday.

Really happy considering I really started falling apart on the Grizzly. Don't sleep on a couch and the play 36 the next day your shoulder may not like you very much.

I pulled off a +9 at Scarborough during a friggen hurricane on Saturday! Beat the person that introduced me to the game for the first time.

I played Pleasant Hill on Saturday as well. Not the best course for the gale force winds. Still pulled off a -1 somehow. We played the "Silver and Gold" course at the reccomendation of the clubhouse attendant. Good call too because the front 9 on the gold course was SOAKED. The back 9 must have been much worse. I left there looking like I had rancid diarrhea all over my legs. I let my friend borrow my fairway driver for ONE hole and he proceeded to throw it into the pond. That makes a total of THREE of my drivers at the bottom of that F--KING pond. I hate that my least favorite course is the one that's 5 minutes from my house.

I found a driver when i was at the Ellsworth course so I've been using that for hole 3 at pleasant hill. All the courses i've played are pretty wet this year, but I wear some keen's and shorts and just trudge through. I'm used to being covered in nasty mud....i've been a mountain biker for a while so this is nothing new.

On another note I played Gorham yesterday and i'm pretty glad i had a partner there to spot throws. My driver is green and can be REALLY hard to find in even short grass if it's a blind shot. Those 800+ foot holes are killers! I also had an amazing blind shot on hole 7 for birdie from base of the hill with my midrange stingray.

Brunswick is more central....i'd think we'd get more people there. They just changed beauty too. I like trying new courses so I'd do sabattus if it's on like donkey kong.

i dont remember that course a whole lot, but i know sabattus would be difficult to accommidate all of us in the same area, the parking is not the biggest.

I don't suppose anyone would be down for a game in Scarborough in an hour or two. Unexpected day off = day on the course.

how well kept is brunswick i heard the bank was trying to shut enman down plus i think it might be a little to challenging for the new people at disc golf, i vote sabattus

Brunswick is a first rate course (or courses). Well mowed, maintained, and they just redesigned The Beauty course, so i doubt they're closing any time soon. I'm about as new as you can get and in fact the first course I ever played on was The Beast. It's hard with the trees, but the woods makes it easy to find errant discs. I'm going out there tonight to play a round because its worth the drive over the local courses here (Gorham and Scarborough).

Enman Field is not as well landscaped as Sabattus in my opinion. However because of the natural features there, it doesn't really need it. It may not be as pretty of a course, but it plays better in my opinion. I score better on the Beauty than I do at Sabattus. Not sure if that means its easier for noobs, cause I didnt play Sabattus until my third year. There are more trees at Enman but I think the pin placement makes Sabattus harder. It also really depends on how you play. For a new player the best bet is always going to be throwing short, low and straight, so it shouldnt really matter what kind of obstacles are in the way if you aren't throwing it that far to begin with.

Did the beast yesterday, the course is in great shape! They're doing a bunch of work on it cleaning it up, putting woodchips down. It's pretty much all dry now too for the first time this year.

Fozzy and I did the brunswick course today. We did the beauty side and we spent most of our time trying to find the next hole. Its very wooded and wet, and the holes aren't marked at all, but it was still fun. In the end I pulled out a -4 and fozzy got a +2. The parking lot is pretty big too.
