aaah, that's easy to deal with.....just tear out everything (EVERYTHING) and start over. trying to clean up sketchiness like that just leads to somewhat better wiring over basically still sketchy foundation

That's what I'm doing, it's just too sketchy for me to want to deal with, so I'm just going to pull almost all of it out and redo it. It's no wonder the thing doesn't start looking at all that wiring.
