February NER Rallycross, 2/24/07

And I'll be running RE-92's, just so everyone can have a good laugh.

No seriously.... just for the laugh! WHAT?!?! Why don't you believe me?! >

Yes, helmets for any drivers or co-drivers.

Waiver is for the minors to be on premises... doesn't matter if they are riding or not.

However, all passengers must be at least 12 years old and have a properly fitting helmet and seat belts in the front seat of the car.

Gravel tires are not good below 45 - 50 degrees regardless of what the surface is. It's like trying to drive with hockey pucks for tires. Just ask Nigel Prodrive about the bad ju-ju gravel tires in cold weather generates. >

Tall Pines Rally, 2004: trying to run gravels on frozen dirt = busted intercooler hoses, smashed bumper, vaporized headlight, grille gone, fender smooshed, control arm tweaked, wheel borked, and a couple other things we didn't know broke until we started tearing car apart to fix.

moral of sad story: snows work better on gravel than gravels do in the cold

reg form should be up in the am 50 SCCA members, 60 non, 70 day of (IF THERE WILL BE ANY)

REGISTRATION FORM IS UP PDF AND XLS

http://www.ner.org/rally/rx/07/index.htm

fill 'em out, send 'em in. This event could get large, so pre-registration (reg form and bling) in my hands only get first dibs. Online threats do not count kids.

Remember, if you do decide to attend at the last minute, bring your completed registration form with you, with a check (NER/SCCA) or exact change. Those with completed forms will get preference. Stafford registration was a cluster, just ask Redline, because 20 or so "day ofs" showed up, none with registration form in hand. This caused all kinds of trouble thru out the day and slowed start.

Please know you class before getting there, we will no longer be assisting folks with that. If you don't know, I will be happy to put you in the non trophy exhibition class.

Thanks and hope to see some of you there.

Fee is per entry (per competitor aka driver). If the "Truck" is not competing, there won't be a fee.

Is your car modified? If not, you'd be put into stock. Also, tires will play a part of determining which class you should be in. What will you be running?

so Im out.. I got my Firefighting Training schedule.. and I have an all day on the 24th..

Side Note: Hey kat!! try to get some sunday events!! I wanna go to some this spring!!

Here's the 'rub' Jim... you can only get yourself a dedicated number (contact Chris B. for one) after 3 races. Basically, NER would prefer to not hand out requested numbers until they see some sort of history from the competitor.

So, for now, you (AND ME) are going to have use the loaner magnets they lend at the gates. Get there early, because they get used up pretty quick.

I will be there in my or a friend's WRX wagon.... O0 woot...
Pooooooooooooooooooooooosssssssssssssssaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!one!

Run yer cah!

Yeah man... I AM! If I can run what I brung... So CaN yOu!

Looks like there may be a film crew there to film. I have been contacted by a NASIOC member to film scoobys racing for a NASIOC video they are putting together each month. They have been told they need to obtain waivers for anyone they film!

So redline, make sure your banner if flyin' high.

Kathy

Kathy,

just advise anyone to pull the plates off if they are there, filmed or not. It is easier on the mind for those who have been wrapped up in the insurance BS before.
