finally..gangsta noise from bikers fought against

I did not know this existed. I am glad it does.

I sustained an ear injury from jets, not even a full blown ear drum, and the bikes drove me to physical cussing out loud, extremely uncomfortable. Maine has more of this problem than not admitted. I am in bangor and it is bad news even here. shaking walls and windows is loud enough hey?

Upon looking back at some of my subaru videos (I document my 87 subaru), several years of them,by freak chance, way off in the distance, echoing as loud as a fighter jet rumbling the earth at bia..,except it's the snappy twack up close permanent imbalance from a vtwin harley davidson invading my vids at least a mile away...

oh..my...god...

it is more often than someone counteracting the efforts by mecalm will admit I am sure. Last year, the story of the horse that flipped out and charged a harley, right out of its fence...now that is one pissed off horse. It seems it bothers 1500 pound animals too..

I wonder as a citizen could be done to help that group setting up legislation. funny enough, they are looking at laws from 1982 to be implemented today as a basic standard. Maine is a bit behind indeed.

we had 3 fat pipes cars (2 WRXes, 1 Evo) at a little motel in NH this weekend. Went out at 7 am in -14 temps to warm em up, I bet we woke everybody in the place. (sorry folks)

en route home, we spotted a moose about to cross the road in middle of our caravan. I laid on the Hella Supertones (118db), and that moose wheeled around and ran for the trees.

what were you saying about noise, I can't hear ya??!!

however, I DO wonder about the injustice of Subies getting noise tickets when Harleys blatt around w/o hassle.

If something like this goes thru you do know that it will go on to more then just bikes... cars will get even more attention... I am more then just against this. I see no reason to not be able to run a louder then stock car/bike. Really it does really hurt anyone...

The person with the horse should have kept it fenced (better/so it couldn't get out) so it didn't attack people driving by/ hopefully that biker sued the owner of that horse.

I love loud bikes/cars... it makes me happy to hear something with power go by and rumble the ground I am standing on... I have never had a harley... just sportbikes... and I still love the loud pipes... it is what makes an American bike.

Is it really that bad to listen to a bike or car go by for the 1 or 2 seconds that it is loud???

I don't complain when my neighbor cuts his grass... and that is louder...

get some of these and have a nice day!!!

we are best friends now... Ok?

not only do the less restrictive pipes add power, they scare the living crap out of the idiots the state gives drivers licenses. I've "woken up" a few people who almost killed me because they can't pay attention. until people learn to drive, my ninja will be ear shattering

f that. loud pipes save lives
You have never lived by a tavern or bar have you? Where I was living for 7 years and where my wife lived her whole life( until we just moved) there was a tavern the town changed the zoning and made a old grange hall into a biker bar. We could not have our front windows open ever. This is one of the factors we moved. At 3am having the bikes drag race by your house is like having a few flashbangs set off in your bedroom.

I would be all for it! There is nothing to ruins a nice summer night then hear those pieces of **** for miles and miles.

Then the ****ing losers with huge bass..... Thump,thump....buzz,buzz from the trunk.

heh, I worked for years in downtown Camden, third floor facing Rt 1. Sometimes in summer when I had the window open, I'd be talking on the phone and a line of bikes would rumble by and my clients would go, "what's all that noise, are you in a phone booth or something?!!"

there's also a difference between "bikers" and "dickheads", sounds like you are only familiar with the "dickheads"

This^^ I absolutely hate the guys that decide to crank on their Harley that has no exhaust what so ever right as they are goin by you when you are on the side of the road, and you literally feel like you're ears are going to start bleeding. I'm all for the loud pipes save lives, and my Forester is far from quiet, but when that **** is done, it's a little much.

Yeah that's what bothers me too, is the fact that they make other bike riders look bad!!

I like the straight pipe on my homebuilt moped. It used to be quiet, and I almost got run over, then I did some moddage and, well, people hear me now

Oh man I want to hear that^ I love the sound of loud cars, that Scooby rumble is heavenly.
Maybe I'll fire it up tomorrow and take a vid. My mom said she could hear it from about a mile off. Drives her nuts

I'm not trying be a tool. I just have a bad taste of Harley guys, because eveyone of them was the dickhead type. And I'm all for mods on bikes/cars/trucks. But to me people that ride KTMs and BMWs , japan makes are less likely to be "hey look at me! I have a huge ego. That's because I'm trying to make up for somthing esle. Let me rev this pile to the limit and make babys cry." and no I'm not saying those people don't act like asshats too. But from what I see it is less, and. Enjoy this exhaust notes. But there is a time and a place.

I agree 100%. Harley guys can go pound sand. And I say this as someone who's gotten creamed on a bike. Louder pipes may have saved my butt, I don't know as I haven't got 'em on my bike. There's a difference between performance pipes put on a street bike and the super loud pipes fat Harley guys put on their bikes and rev their piles to the moon through neighborhoods and bar parking lots.
