It's a stereotype because it's true. The p4 prescott series ran hot, especially compared to what AMD was putting out for its time. Period. I never said anything about reliability or uptime. They. Ran. Hot. Period.

True that. I have a 3.4ghz HT P4 that actually can't run with just its stock cooler, it runs that hot. Meanwhile I also have about 5 socket 939 processors (my opteron 175 met an untimely death though
