Gun show

dam we need a gun badly and wont have the money for a month more or so. im sure there will be plenty more to come.

you guys prefer shotgun or hand gun for home defense?

either or will do nicely. riotgun loaded with birdshot, or a revolver are both pretty idiotproof.

i say go with one of each. especially once the zombies come.

go with Saiga-12

380 hand gun?walther by any chance??

I'll probably be there saturday, and birdshot is not good enough for home defense, it does not have enough penetration, 00 buck is what I'd go with.

Hopefuly the sound of jacking a shell into the chamber is enough

Well, i like the size of the holes my S12 was leaving in plastic silhouettes at 5-8 yrds. Considering HD is close-to-very close range, i think birdshot is sufficient enough deterrent. that's what i have as 1st round in my 10rd HD ****tail

that's almost akin to a "warning shot"

There's a short 12ga. with pistol grips at Cabellas right now for cheap coin. I keep pondering going over and picking it up. Not because I need it...I just want it.

I'll be there Sunday.

Many home defense stories end successfully with one shot of whatever fire arm thru the wall, ceiling, or floor. Intruder hears bang, intruder runs away.

But living life paranoid about home security is loco. There are soooo many more fun things to do with fire arms.

Ole Blister is probably the best for home defense in my opinion, less penetration to hit something vital through walls(loved one) or through to outside to an innocent but plenty of pink mist for Mr. Badguy!

Hornady TAP in 12 gauge. it's the tightest 00 buck you'll get and the most reliable.

My personal defense weapon is a Springfield XD in 357Sig. I have a 40 S&W barrel that just drops in to go out and play with. Or to compete with... haven't competed in a couple years though. I was the first XD owner in Northern Maine though! OH YEAH!
