why on earth do you need to downshift to first above 5 mph? soon as you're rollin, 2nd pulls fine. to all who say "suby transmissions suck, they are like glass" I say, F**K that, learn to shift right."... drove a ton of five speeds before I got my subie but the WRX one was a little different...won't shift into first over like 5mph without a rev match, super stiff clutch, short first gear, etc.
I'm not rippin on Subie transmissions. I'm just saying that if you grew up driving Hondas and VWs, the switch to Subarus takes a couple days. not picking on you in particular, but this is a pet peeve of mine. suby transmissions are hella tough if u treat em right.. don't rush the 1-2 upshifts and go easy on the 2-1 downshift and they'll run 200k no sweat.

Awesome color man, you will love it. I picked up my SWP WRX from Evergreen about a month ago and I really like it. Of course, I agree with everyone here that snow tires are essential in the winter. I had Evergreen put a set of snows on the stock wheels before I even left that day.
