Huh, Now I'm scared.

I just wrote a lot...but decided not to post it.

Long story short, as a family man with a toddler, a baby on the way and the best wife in the world, I have lost every ounce of respect I ever had for this man.

 
I don't know this situation or kristoff..

is the arrest forum related? like a threat via electronics or something?

I encountered a real case of net and real life meeting...and thier really is some madness out there. It is a frightening thought. (hit and run last september..right after posting back end welds..I mean within 1 day or two)

the charge of domestic terrorizing could be as simple as yelling late at night or what have you, family fights etc. It sounds horrible, but it comes about in many ways..in fact sometimes the person that got hauled away is the victim (it happened to me, all the way to a judges apology...true story), cops do not know all the facts sometimes...grab the younger of the quarreling bunch or whatever.

whatever the case, jail sucks. Hope the guy gets resolve..I did learn that offense does not stick around, depending on the court case, as a hard written bad act, etc.

Not all that much really, but I have met him a couple times in person and he seemed to be alright and I assumed he just didn't understand how to use a forum like this one or the other ones he was banned from. Oh well.

That's what I figured. I know I have a hard time making sure people know when I'm joking, which is quite often on teh interweb.

ditto, my GF was up and I wasn't on the forum for a few days and missed the ban ... ban cliff notes please? Maybe should take it to VIP so it isn't out in the public?

It was sadly a long time coming. For many reasons not apparent to the whole membership. It sometimes makes it hard to understand for people not seeing it all go down. But it was justified.

Good answer, fair enough. I don't know what the straw that broke the camel's back was, but I saw it coming for a long time. I admin a forum so I can usually see where things are going long before they get there.

I believe you made the right decision, for the good of the forum as a whole. We typically have a great thing going here, it's sad that one person can make this such a different place. Here's to not becoming NASIOC (on the level of ******baggery).

 
Cliff notes: Kristof created many hours worth of headaches for the administration, mods, and members. Despite his demeanor outside this place (in real life), he could never handle himself very maturely here. I have had to mediate way too many late night fights via PM with him, and couldn't believe I actually was having conversation of that caliber with him. I mean hes an adult, with a home and a child. It finally hit a breaking point when I received PM's from an EG employee with issues with him. I did what I felt I needed to do. End of story.

 
You did the right thing. He was getting on my nerves (and probably many others'). Thank you for keeping this a nice place on the internet. There sadly aren't many anymore

Not totally, but that's one incident. I can't say I'm not guilty of egging him on a bit in the end (I apologize to the membership for that), but there was still a lot that happened in the PM's and other stuff that I chose not to share with everyone. Believe me he showed his colors on the way out, he basically lost it, and threatened me by saying "he knows where I live" and such.
