I done messed up big time

Sorry to hear about the car but glad that no one was hurt. Unfortunately learning some lessons about cars can be really expensive.

p.s. I'll give you $35 for the Hella Supertones. I need something louder to go on the rally car.

It's terrible to see such a nice car smooshed, but I'm glad you weren't smooshed with it!!

Good luck finding another suby, hopefully you can swap all the good bits over.

 
Wow, man you're lucky you're ok!!! Really sicks about the car. It was a nice one. Hopefully something else will come along cheap, and you can swap everything over

condolences, you done good to hit the pine head on and not smack in the driver's door...I mean that!

would love to talk thru the incident in detail with ya some time, either online or in PMs, it's always constructive to pull the good (learning exactly what went wrong) out of the bad.

don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes sheet happens when you have a lil too much fun with cars!

PS--will dig into the rally team archives, gots a pic of LDR's GC STI after we hit two maples, damage almost exactly the same as in your pics

thanks nigel, I would also like to talk through it with you. I guess hitting where I did was best, there was a lot of impact there, i woulda been in the hospital had I hit the doors, wierd thing is, the airbags didnt deploy....

Ouch Ray, I simpathise with you man, That was a really kick DONKEY ride, especially for someone your age. I would have been happy to have that car myself, Im really sad to see it go. I have faith that your next project will be even better though. The airbags on my old grand am worry me. When the ABS wiring and the Window motors start getting tired on the car, you wonder what else isn't gonna work right when you need it.

you're probably lucky the air bags didnt deploy, that wouldve messed up your face!

after my accident that's one thing i was relieved about was mine didn't deploy. we set some off in school, they would definitely do some damage.

im sure you've heard this a million times but really, its good that you're okay and its just a car. it can be replaced.

or maybe fixed? biggest pain is separating the spot welds, but it looks like the tree took care of that for you!

 
Sorry to hear...at least you both are okay...my son did the same thing about 4 years ago in my SVT Focus with a friend in the car. Thankfully they both recovered fine. Lesson Learned.
