Man def sounds like a rough time I'm glad I don't work there anymore ..they used torque sticks when I was there which on not a fan of I hand torqued every car when I was done with them..the 3 guys that were left when I got done all had Ingersoll rand titanium guns that were good for 1000ft.lbs.

Sucks you're having all these problems with it already ..

I want to light it on fire. Going in tomorrow to talk to Preston. Nissan had sent me a survey about my last service experience, and I was brutally honest. I guess he got that first thing today. But seriously, there's no excuse for not starting a fastener by hand, and there is no way the guy didn't know he'd stripped it. It's the fact that he shipped it anyway without saying anything or fixing it that's got me ticked off.

Guy I'd been dealing with is getting done, New guy needed the whole rundown, and was game for the wheel stud/lug nut and the wheel they made the worst, but wasn't sure about the wheel damaged by 900mph impact socket. That one isn't as bad, and I could live with it if necessary, but they still frenched it up

Looking to add a third hella. The 2 now are aimed so I can see ditches(even on the pike) and out a long ways(100w bulbs help) but there's a patch in the middle that's dark, and my factory high beams are line the low beams from the imp. So if anyone has a lone 500 driving light I could have cheap hmu.

Guy called back today, they are fixing both wheels. He'd mentioned that I'd painted my calipers,entirely out of context, but I think he was implying I might have scratched that one. Idk, they're fixing everything Tuesday.

 
Wheels got redone today, they look amazing. Whichever guy they used is worth the money. Haven't checked everything with a torque wrench yet, but I imagine they wouldn't make the same mistake twice since it cost them $150 plus time to straighten everything out today

 
So today I got a post card from Lee in the mail, saying last time I was in my tires were "severely worn"and needed replacement. I'm no ase certified technician, but I think my tires look like brand new (because 2 are)

 
Sheesh. They couldn't have let you know when you were there in person?

Your stories on this dealership make my eyebrow raise so much. What are they doing over there?? 

 
Telling me a truck with 7k on it needs tires for one thing. I can tell you I'm waiting for my warranty to ruin out so I can bring it to eg for the extended plan. They don't discriminate and they're quicker than my local guy

Made up a piece today to weld to my light bar to put a third hella right on the middle for more coverage. Gotta take the bar of this weekend and play around with it

Edit: I measured everything like 8 times before I built this piece, had to kind of Tetris it around a mounting point to the truck. After I welded it on I realized it's half an inch off... not real sure how I managed that, but it's welled together, painted, clear coat setting up. Just need a lamp and a couple minutes wiring for more blinding of roadside critters

New Hellas came much faster than anticipated. Only took 3 days with free shipping from Amazon. Install in a while, gotta go to tractor supply for12ga terminals, don't trust the factory wiring with 100w bulbs. Pics after installnow I have my imgur account working

 
So, it's even farther offset than I thought. I have the light leaned toward the driver side and it is still noticeable(to me)

And apparently the new Hellas are more of a pencil beam. Pulled up ten feet from my garage door and the 2I had were a pattern about 8", the new one was closer to 2. Also old ones were made in Taiwan, New are India

Slight update. That one hella actually has a larger pattern at distance, still awesome though.

Hauled a load of scrap aluminum today, got enough to buy my tonneau cover. Called a local vendor for truxedo, price they gave me was only ten more than Amazon was the last time I looked, so I ordered it. Then I looked at Amazon again, ten prevent price drop since i last looked...oh well. It'll be here Wednesday

 
Blasted the underside of the truck with fluid film today. Heard good things about it on interwebz and an old guy at work had his new gmc sprayed last year and said it was still hanging on. Didn't realize how thick it was in the gallon can agree being in the back of the truck all day, had to put it by the wood stove a bit. Even warm it was thick, like almost as thick as grease. Used a gloved hand to put out in the can of a body Schultz gun and had to run it at 100psi. But it covered well, only used half a can on everything I could get at including springs, control arms and spare tire holder. Can was$50 at O'Reilly, body Schultz guns are around 20ish at Napa

 
I forgot to mention, this stuff had a wicked smell. Not noxious or anything, but just there. Would not recommend using in a garage attached to or under a house

 
It isn't unbearable, I'd read it doesn't go away, but I think it's already faded some. My girl didn't even notice it, but it might be stuck in my nose from spraying it. Her father worked in the woolen mill in Oxford and said it smells just like that. Which makes sense where it's never from wool wax

Ps, wear some kind of breathing protection, there are no warnings on the can, but it bothered my nose after a while. I imagine a paper dust mask would be sufficient

I love how my phone never types whati want and I don't notice for hours

Rwd<awd. Truck is useless in 2wd, but in 4wd, even with the junk tires that came on it the thing is BEAST. Plowed through huge banks getting home Wednesday night, and was plowing my driveway with my lip. Wish it was a manual, I feel very disconnected from my drivetrain. after working a double Wednesday, half day yesterday and half day today I decided to have some fun and rip around the field in my Cherokee, which is for sale for parts or project. 4wd drift in snow is a good way to blow of steam

 
Listened the other day my truck has something called abls. Active brake limited slip. Supposed to apply brake pressure to the spinning wheel(s) so power should transfer to the wheels with traction. Sounds kind of familiar, like maybe something Subaru does. Planning onusing my tax returns to hunt down a set of the 6 slot wheels from an xterra and putting duratracs on them. Maybe even tpms sensors if I can find them cheap. Factory bfg long trails are not performing well for me
