In before the close!

The itch to get home and test drive is getting pretty bad. Probably going to aim for a rainy day to test drive as that will give me an idea of the traction a BRZ has under power, and if it likes to go sideways when it slips. I have to negotiate a couple steep hills in and out of my parents house. With snow tires on my Impreza it gets tricky at times.

Quick search and the BRZ is said to love playing in the snow. A $28k car that gets 25 mpg or so will probably be smarter then the $50-60k diesel truck that gets 13 or 14 mpg. Looks like I will have to get things broken in before snow hits. And maybe a spare set of wheels for summer time.

Watched Clark son run the Toyota version on tip gear , he said it was the funnest car to drive that he's been in for a long long time. Claims its just the right ball hence of power to traction.

it was in topsham btw

Diesel truck that gets 13-14.... What are you looking at a Ford? *thumbs down*
No, it would be a new Dodge. I have yet to find out what my uncle is getting in his new Dodge but his GMC was only getting 12 mpg when everyone else claimed to get 18-20 mpg in theirs. When it comes to trucks other then a 1500 I will never expect near 20 mpg.

Anyone know if any Maine dealers have BRZ's in stock?

One of our work trucks is a 99 n/a 7.3 power stroke f550, and with a 10' plow and 4 yard sander it always gets 19 to 22 mpg, on the other hand, my plow truck is an 08 with the 6.0 and its between 4.5 and 5.2 plowing, but I've gotten as high as 13 on a trip to Bangor. My sister and brother-in-law have an 02 dodge 3500 with the quad cab and DRW and they were getting 13 up hill and down, put a new cold air intake, and better exhaust when it got chipped, bumped 90hp and fuel economy improved to 20 to 22 on a trip to up state new York.

shitty gas mileage attributed to shitty emissions laws
