Inski or Vinnie or anyone at a dealership, help me out with this one

this issue seems like an uncomfortable grey area--is it a safety isue, a minor inconvenience, or "they all do that" ??

I think I'm going to set up a little lighter/fan unit under there to burn off the vapors...kind of like the way an oil rig burns off theat pesky natural gas :

stupid thing is, I should have done this job while I was rebuilding the motor last spring. :-

 
I did one of these this week. Very labor intensive. Didn't like it at all. Lots of clips and clamps and connectors to break. >

...and it was an 02 with only 32,000 on it. Still new! I'd kill myself if I ever had to do it on anything over 60,000 miles.

5 hours labor? Yeah right. Took me all day. Got the ole extended warranty shaft on that one. :'( It hurt.
