Iphone 4 Info

Ryan the data plans have dropped significantly so you could get an iphone for as little as $55 a month.
Trevor we will be able to order phones tommorow after we run out.

Hmm... really? What if I'm currently on a family plan, paying about $20-30 a month for my phone, and I wanted to get the new iPhone. How would my monthly rate change?

Just add a $15 basic monthly data plan. It gets you 200MB a month. Or you could add $25 for the 2GB plan.

Interesting... why would they switch to that?
Most people hardly use any data at all, so they wont notice. The power users get screwed, coincidentally, they're also the ones who help max out the network. Broadband companies want the same thing.

Unlimited was fine back in the day because mp3's and web pages weren't that taxing. Now you have streaming video, music, tv, games, and people pirating 50+gig bluerays or whatever, the infrastructure isn't unlimited like it used to be.

first of all. what dan said. cause that's pretty much perfectly said.

second, we just got our second shipment of 40 16 gigs as i'm sure nate did. looks like we're doing this veryyyyy well

Negative. Tethering is not only limited to 2gb but is only available in a package with the 2gb data plan. Sorry for the buzzkil. I tried every way I had to add it seperately today but no system has the ability

If only the iPhone was open as far as apps...

If you jailbreak the phone, I'm sure you can just find some free software to tether it.

I've heard that rumor, but I've also heard that AT&T's contract with Apple lasts past 2011. Nigel, if you really don't want AT&T, I guess I won't be stopping any of Nate's or Mark's business by telling you to just get an Android-based phone with Verizon.

Wow that's the first thing you said I have to agree with. +1 for that. If anyone has a problem with AT&T then verizon will happily sell you a droid incredible which are acctually really nice phones. I cant tell you how many times some no name website has been trying to attract attention over the years by saying verizon is getting the iphone. Apple doesn't even like verizon or there outdated cmda network.

well I'm interested in an iPhone 4 for business purposes (to showcase mobile version of our website maineboats.com) and have absolutely had it with AT&T's patchy to nonexistent coverage in Maine. ATT have switched local carriers several times in midcoast, sheet, I get 3-4 dropouts on the 8 mile drive from Camden to Rockland. [[[mad frowny face smileys go here]]]]

don't get me wrong, I've been an ATT wireless customer since 1991 (with a freakin bag phone doods) but lately their Maine coverage has become so bad it's really a drag.

...and Nate, DailyFinance.com and Bloomberg News Service are hardly "no name" websites. Granted we'll see what we shall see as to what actually happens, but I for one would be really reluctant to go for the iPhone4 move till there is an alternative carrier for it here in ME.

Everything else I've said you just want to agree with, right?

The Droid X in my opinion will blow the Incredible away. Motorola knows what they're doing. Only problem I see with the X is that it is pretty massive. Although if Nigel has used a bag-phone, I'm sure he won't mind the size.

I can't wait until Verizon drops CDMA in the next, well, hundred years or so.
