following rez off into the hinterlands of eastern maine is the best haha. dunno if i'll be doing it with the BRAND new car, but maybe in a few years. certainly had fun w/ my GTI and a foot of snow through some mountain park thingy in the middle of an ice storm.... sure hope we get good night time snowstorms on the weekends so i'll be up there to play around

lol i dont know how we didnt get stuckout there that night. that crusty stuff was 3 inxhes thick on 8 inches of snow!!

but the ride in and out on county was fun. give me 8 months of snow and 4 motnhs of october weather and i will be a happy man. F this summer stuff.

im ready for some winter roads again!

remember how my engine bay packed so full of snow the belt started slipping and stalled my car HAHAHA.. lost power and drifted off into the thick stuff, somehow, those graspics got me out of that mess and back on trail! good times

I just picked up some snows from Garret and I'm looking forward to trying them out. Truth be told, I have never run winter rubber on the subaru. I have feeling its going to be sweet!

yah i cant wait to get mine on either.... my car was a tank (to me anyway) last year with the crappy stock RE92's

now i got some dunlop wintersport 3D's mounted on a set of 17" rota tarmacs...

I wish I had a spare set of wheels to mount my snows on
do you mean old school? I have 12 wheels with tires on them.

4 are painted from a late 93 loyale, with studded snows.

The nokians on pugs are great for the old school, do not need to emphasize much with 4lo and diff locked ready to happen. I even toned it down a bit by looking at pirelli p4 for year round. The ratedrded auto inspectr claimed I needed on extinct nokian. there goes that 640 dollar bunch of flunk. thanks inspector guy. I think the cups are worth it at least another gnarly treaed year

Anyway, I scared a cab driver up on to the curb last year, the car is mythologically exceeding average traction just by sight alone (no joke, the guy thought I was going to hit him), just because its down hill, iced over and doing 5 over the speed limit doesn't mean a darn thing. Its like the knife throwing trick with someone strapped to a spinning wheel..oh the anticipation of failure...

if you need old school, got lots, it may be 15 wheels, I have to check. Dear old dad wants me to clean out the shed anytime now.
