yeah we did go this past sunday, it was pretty fun, not too many other cars on the road but the stop where you can get out and swim in the pool in the river was FLOODED with tourists so we didn't end up stopping there lol

yeah well i didn't hear about the 207 car show until about 5 days before sunday, and already had a bunch of people that were planning on going so i didn't postpone it.

 
i'd definitely be down for another one when more people can come. i never did the hurricane mountain road so i'd like to do that the next time as well. someone who has more experience organizing one should set up the next one if it happens before the official fall drive

 
I set up a lot of vw drives about 10 years ago. wouldn't mind doing it as long as I'm not stepping on any toes..

I've done Hurricane Mt rd in the Forester a few times.. it's pretty tight, and meeting other vehicles on the road can be hazardous to your health, but its still fun.

Bear notch rd is fun from Bartlett over to the Kanc. I used to drive up to waldoboro a lot for lunch at Moody's Diner. I grew up around there and its always a nice drive.

Definitely some good fall driving if people are up for it.

 
usually gclark sets up the drives. but they really are not forum sanctioned "events" because of the liabiliy issues that come along with it

If you want to set it up, go for it!

I'm not saying that I won't go on the drive :-P
