legacy turbo

You're not really supposed to adjust it from the inside. Loosen it all the way on the inside, adjust the outside properly. then adjust the inside.

Steel bumpers, big mudflaps, lots of lights on the front and rally it. That's my vote

hahaha. but then I started pulling engine so no more rally :/ .

im thinking the same as u bratman .. I want to find a really clean obs

If you swap it all into something, get a 95 or earlier. As soon as everywhere in Maine has emissions garbage it would never pass in a 96+

you actually have to swap motors into something older than the motor....so a 00 motor cant go into a 05 car for ex....

You mean legally? How would they ever know unless they were REALLY looking. My 98 has a 97 motor in it..... But it passed inspection

keep the motor in a 90-94 legacy, they are getting harder to find, and even fewer are modded. if you swap it to a newer legacy or anything else, you wont have any plug in turbo ecu's you can use. if you stick with that gen chassis, you can use a jdm 92-96 wrx ecu which can be chipped for 550cc injectors and a 16g or VF turbo and make 250-280hp. that body doesn't look all that bad, try to save the shell if you can, its hard to find a non turbo w a sunroof. I have everything you need to convert that car to a 5spd too once you get ur rust under control.

the only hard parts gunna be the rear quarter panel but he gave me a big cut out piece to weld in . then the front right rocker needs some attention but it isn't that bad . ill deffenatly let you kno when I need that 5spd stuff. thanks a lot . I think that's the rout I really wanted to take . cause the legacy look really nice done up and they are pretty rare.

what would you do about the internals? leave it stock and just put new bearings and rings in or do pistons and such ? because it does have 195k on it

leave the block alone. the stock heads are rubbish though, get rid of them if you change anything. ej25d heads work good.

I have a set of ej25d heads I am going to put on .. I shouldnt even put new rings in ? the compression is pretty low in 2 cylinders . its 75 in two and 110 in the other two .

yeah that's really low. trouble is to seat the rings properly you will have to do a light hone on the cyl walls, which is gonna be rather difficult with the rods still in there

ill just split the block and put new big end bearings and mains in anyways then I can get at the cylinders with a hone? I will feel better about boosting it a lot with fresh bearings anyways
