It was the battery. Got myself a new battery. Now I gotta do something about my windshield. I found out my mom doesn't have full coverage so I gotta replace it on my own somehow.

It will run for a good while on a new battery without the alt working. So are you sure the alt is actually working? Is the battery light on the dash when the car is running? When the car is running the alt provides power and the battery doesn't really do much. Strange a battery would cause the whole thing to die.

I brought the alternator to Advance Auto to test it out, it passed and so the guy said it's fine. I bought that after I bought my used car so my alternator should be fresh right? Well the battery that I had while I bought my car was old so I'm thinking maybe it's time to get a new one.

UGH. feel your pain. back in mass (where I grew up) I had the back window of my CRX smashed in for no good reason. if you know a CRX you know that's a pretty damned specialized window.
