loud spoolilng

Finally drove the legacy again today. That thing spools crazy loud! 5lbs of vacuum and you can hear the turbo doing it's thing. It's great!!
But as far as turbo noise just getting louder without you changing anything... IDK... maybe it's got something to do with drag racing.

Any type of racing is hard on a vehicle. The more competing you do the more in tune with your car you will need to be. Get under that hood, slid under the body, something changed. Find it young Jedi!

hearing turbo spooling is like a turn on.. it makes me feel its running good..

 
My stock '06's spooling seems to have gotten much louder. I think my TD04 might be borked. It's not consuming a noticible amount of oil though so I'll just keep running it. It might just be from driving with the windows up more...

My stock 06 turbo also seems a bit loud with a metalic note just before the point of boost.No noticable performance issues....
 
so now that's its spring and warm out, been driving the wag with windows down

gaaak! I hear intake HOOSHin and turbo wooshin and bov FOOSHin and my cupped back tires whupwhupwhuppin and the wind noise is driving me car-raaayzee.

don't like a noise, roll up de windows and turn up the tunes. run car until it won't go by itself no more. then fix.

life is simple sometimes.
