I pulled the rotors off my car in my dark garage today. They looked okay in the dim light. Get in the Jeep and drive to Pep Boys. Throw 'em on the counter and say I want 'em turned. The guy goes "I can't turn these, see these, *points* they're heat fractures on the material. If I turn them they'll be too out of spec to use." He then turned them on the back side to check 'em out and there was a huge **** off crack on the back.
Whoopsie. New rotors on the car now. I'm not allowed to go play in bumb**** anymore until I get upgraded brakes.
It's nice being able to hit the brakes and not have the car shake like a paint shaker.
