Bought this for a nice daily driver, need a break from driving loud uncomfortable cars....

its a 1998 GS300, has the 2JZ-GE vvti motor, and a 5spd auto.

So far ive lowered it, borrowed some wheels, and fixed a bunch of stupid problems.

future plans are buy my own wheels, 18x9 front and 18x10.5 rear

replace dented pass side fender

paint front bumper

change mufflers out

and in the spring drop in a JDM 2JZ-GTE twin turbo swap from a toyota aristo (jdm version of this car) since its practically a plug and play swap....

should have bought a luxury ride years ago, ive been missing out lol

how is the power with the stock engine? I am kind of surprised you didn't go for the GS400 and supercharge it.

lol dave.... I dunno, I used to work at lexus and always loved these cars, just never went out and got one...

stock output is 230 or so at the crank, it goes ok for a big heavy sedan w a auto trans.

didnt get the 400 for 2 reasons: 1 more expensive to buy/run, and 2 its more work to drop the twin turbo motor into.... granted when I bought it I told myself id leave it stock, till I started browsing lexus forums and saw all the cool things you can do to these cars lol

got some new stuff done on the car

rear wheel, 18x10.5

pics with new wheels and lowered more in the front

then decided the stock exhaust was next to go

made new axlebacks with greddy mufflers

then spent about 3 hours clay barring, buffing and waxing the car tonight

shes getting there....

I have a nice stainless down pipe that would probably go good with your future plans it's from a supra and is not a cheap eBay one

thanks guys! I ordered 10mm spacers for the front to push the wheels flusher with the fenders.

Matt when can I come set the toe?

My buddy alec came over today and we worked on the paint some more

still need to have the bumper painted and get a pass side fender to replace the dented one, but shes getting there....

at this point im completely over the power of the n/a 2JZ motor, soooooo

finally pulled the trigger on a swap.... got a very complete Toyota Aristo 2JZ-GTE twin turbo motor, trans, ecu, wiring, rear diff etc. like i said, very complete. once this is in the car for all intensive purposes will be a 4 door automatic Supra.... with class! as far as power goes, it should be around 400whp on the stock turbos with some fueling mods. big single turbo is probably in the distant future.... but im going to *try* to keep stock and reliable power for the time being haha
