more problms with the rex...

i think weve all done it at one point and i experienced the same thing on my rs, started out with a clicking noise onto a full bang, all 5 of my lf lugs were loose....took 1k to loosen up but they did.....

 
Same happened to me with my Saab. Clunk clunk clunk, turns out it was the lugnuts. (And that the whole car was a piece of POOP, but that's another story)

 
we had the exact same scenario with our rally car one time. we were getting this bad drivetrain-related noise....whumpwhumpwhump when braking or coasting, went away under power. oh it's a driveshaft center bearing, it's a busted halfshaft, oh it's the clutch, no the trans, well mebbe there are SPOOKS down there someplace...

got into service, and one of the guys started to remove the left rear wheel. soon as he touched it with the lug wrench, he threw up his hands, "jayzus!! somebody tell me they already started to take this wheel off!" all 5 lugs loose, that wheel was just about to pass us on stage.

the lug holes in the rim were all ovaled out and ruined. so make sure to check yours, sounds like you ran quite a while with a loose wheel.

lucky you, it'd a sucked Big Time to have a wheel fly off on a 2-lane and make the car steer into oncoming traffic!

 
yeah man haha, that wouldve sucked. and i guess the only way to make rally any more badass is to loosen some lug nuts

i even pulled over in portsmouth NH, during that MONSOON sunday night (good thing i had on my Columbia jacket)

got out my trusty maglight and went over everything, grabbed each wheel and rocked it back and forth. all felt tight. even though the wheel was loose, the weight of the vehicle held it from rocking. learned a valuable lesson, and got off very lucky

something else came up. ive been trying to figure out if its even a problem or not, i might as well see what you guys think

Car just seems a little less peppy, well, maybe a lot less peppy

its boost that seems to be acting up, as i watch my stock lamco gauge while accelerating steadily it runs up smoothly, then starts hesitating at .06 Mpa, then drops down too .05 while im still on the throttle. stays there then i jam to WOT and it goes up too max

(.10) atleast that's the highest ive hit. It used to always boost smoothly.

could it be a boost leak?
