That sounds familiar, I'm a 4 year captain on a beechjet (about the same size as a Citation ultra) and JetBlue is a MUCH better deal overall

What company was he with on the Ultra and when did he start at Jetblue?

He was flying Part 91 for a private owner. The needing to be available 24-7 thing kinda sucks (he has three small children and a wife at home). I think he goes off to school for the 20th or 21st.

 
Yeah I heard they had a class on that date and I hoped I would be in it. Looks like he will be a month senior to me. PM me his info and I'll say hi.

Update: I'm in the 3rd week or so and things are coming laong. Oral exam this Friday then home for three days wohoo!!

in all fairness, theyre a wonderful plane when theyre workin right

 
Man, I flew Jet Blue to and from FLA and would recommend them to anyone. The planes were gorgeous, seats were big and leather, tons of leg room and a TV in each seat with 36 channels of satellite. Fantastic experience.

 
Well THIS looney is finally done!!

I finished my checkride yesterday and now I'm on my way home, it's been six looong weeeks. Storyland is next w00t!!
