+2, I do this, and I %100 agree with this logic. It's also aids visibility to other drivers who might not see you, regardless of your speedIt is a Subaru. There's no reason not to just have your lights on all the time. They shut off when you turn the vehicle off, and it's good to have all the lights on for safety reasons. Just my .02. I have always kept mine on, and you don't go through enough bulbs to worry about.

Do yours do that too??If I were you I would unplug the DRLs instead of running a little bit of power through them. I had the same issue with mine so I unplugged it and I just remember to turn the headlights on when I get in the car, seems to work well for me.
that's what I was thinking. I heard something like that tooI heard somewhere the drl circuit doesn't give enough juice to turn them on, so that may explain that half
