So my new coilovers came today, Zeal Function V6 Inverted monotube
I had bought some ebay special used coilovers off another member, but when i got them home, discovered they were blown. I resealed and refilled them and sold them to another member with a legacy wagon, and he loves them, even though i told him they were blown when i got them, but they appear to be all set after my expert bench reseal/refill job
SO the Zeals... msrp is some $2600 and i got them off nasioc for about a 5th of that, because the seller thought they needed rebuilding, but there was no signs of leaks.
The outer tube where the adjust collars are was really corroded on the inside, causing the monotube strut cartridge to bind and make noise, after dissasembly, i used a cylinder hone and a drill to get rid of all the crap inside the tube, and covered everything with a high performance grease and re assembled them.
Presto! no binding or squeaking while compressing them with the springs off, and compression and rebound are perfect...
Yay for saving $2000 some odd dollars by ripping used coilovers apart haha
Time for install!!!
