Need a turbo

So I'm almost positive my turbo is shot. I'm looking for either a low mileage TD04 or a VF series... haven't yet decided what route I'm gonna take yet.

 
I'm considering it. Finances are quite tight, and it will cost MUCH more going VF with supporting mods as opposed to a quick and easy TD04 swap.

 
Yeah I know what you mean, but the power is so much better!! But I hear ya when it comes to being tight on money!! What is your turbo doing???

 
Shes burning oil. Dipstick was bone dry when I checked it a few days ago. I had to add about 3/4 qt. to get it to the full line. Blue smoke at WOT and unsteady boost. I also pulled off my intercooler yesterday and there was some significant sludge build up in the turbo to IC hose. Just a matter of time before this happened, especially with 122k on the turbo.

 
Well if I'm gonna be pulling the DP off, I might as well just upgrade the turbo.

I'll shoot him a PM and if anyone sees a 16g for sale PLEASE LET ME KNOW! A 16g is really what I want, but hard to come by at a good price.

Never mind. LOL.

Dude I would just send yours off to Blouch. They have about a 2 week turn around. You ship it out tomorrow you should have it back around next Thursday or so. They clean it up and everything. It will be around the same price you are going to have to shell out for a used one. But you get the piece of mind of having new parts in yours.

 
Well I've got a few people with low mileage TD04s selling for around $125-150.

I PMed that guy on iwsti. We'll see what happens
