Is that what you want?

The car has been parked until I get the new turbo, which I just decided to stay stock and go with a replacement TD04. I'd like to go VF but finances just aren't available right now.

The car is burning serious amounts of oil. I'm talking a quart and a half over 160 miles!!! She smells awful and runs terrible in boost. I hope it's just the turbo

td04 is a good turbo, but the 19t upgrade is expensive for what it is, with very minimal gains.

you're looking at the cost of the turbo, +$325 for the upgrade, + any extras you want, such as porting, ceramics, or any repairs blouch needs to make to the turbo you send them + shipping, etc. . ..

for that money, you could get a good condition 39, 23, 24, or 16g.

Bad, bad, BAD news. 100x worse then what we expected. Sergei came over to take a look at her today, and low an behold we found smoke coming out of the oil cap. 99% most likely blown piston. What is this, blown piston season? Damn it...

Yeah, def. not a normal amount of blue/gray smoke out of oil filler

Going to confirm the diagnosis on Thursday with compression/leakdown combo....

Crap. smoke coming out of the oil filler with the engine running is bad bad bad. Being that it has color to it is even worse. I am pretty sure you have a blown ringland or blown rings. This test is usually pretty good. I bet its #4 ringland. That seems to be the big problem when one goes. If your car is running like crap your compression is going to suck because of the first ring not sealing. My problem I believe is the 2nd oil ring is bad. Gives good compression but would fail a leak down and smokes a tons but runs fine. That is the general thought from my dad and from the guys on iwsti. Sorry to hear.

I'm starting to think that the recent seafoam treatment I put in was the icing on the cake. It possibly either cleared a bunch of carbon that was actually sealing, or maybe even the seafoam itself just blew it. I don't see why though as I use this stuff once a year and do it the same way each time

By the way Lobstah. Wife is working Friday and I should be home. So if you don't get around to doing it thursday I will come over during the day on Friday and Mess around with it also with you.

Not sure. Only time I have ever heard of anyone using seafoam is if they put something in the engine or something foriegn got in there and needed to clean it out. But, I have heard it does work well. Maybe you are right it worked to well.
