actually...funny you mention that. http://www.SPEEDTHEEAST.com is a website i just started about 2 weeks ago. my plan was to focus on getting private rallies and timing the sections given. such as hurricane mt. rd in new hampshire. I plan on shifting the spirit of the website though. my plan was originally to go to nice roads, with curves and such, and see who can get the fastest time on a section. the kancamagus highway for instance has a nice section of turns after the first major rest area going towards lincoln. having a car at the beginning with a radio, telling the drivers if there is mountain patrol, or civilian traffic ahead. somewhat well thought about. but i thought of a better idea. doing rallies and raising money for different organizations for road safety, kids, etc. rather than just to charge money for no reason...put it towards something good.Welcome to the club. I was actually thinking about getting my wife an SX4 a while ago...but we need something a little bigger in our driveway than an Impreza and an SX4. Hope you can make a group drive soon!
oh mint. yeah i was "371ST" at the time. right after the last event finished i threw on a slew of aftermarket goodies and next year i should be in a much higher class. plan on running fresh hoosier slicks as wellWelcome, I'm sure I have some pictures of your car in my collection as I attended most of the CMC events to take pictures this season.
I think you mean Hatch road, and yes that is one of the best dirt roads because of that turn that I know of.that's pretty cool, it seems that a lot of members really are from maine. a lot of other sites include guys from all over the place. its nice to be apart of a locally run site. cobbs bridge is always a fun road to drive down. dont know what the road is called, but towards the end where the dirt goes to pavement, at the intersection where the rec fields are, i always love taking that rightlove the turn there
that road also helped me getaway from a mercedes clk300. that was quite a scary day in new gloucester. luckily. i know where the woman and Boyfriend (if it was her boyfriend/husband/thing) live.![]()
very fun roads in maine![]()
