I think the brownfield range is the only free/public range that I know of. I know the "Going to the gravel pit" option does not so well these days in Cumberland county atleast.

I know many guys who have had the police visit them during such outings. thankfully they had the owners permission in most cases.

 
The Brownfield place is un-passible at this time. The road is severely rutted up. I wouldn't attempt it unless you have a 4x4 with loads of ground clearance.

 
where is the brownfield range?

I am pretty sure I can make it out there. And I am sure Brighton would go too.
