Actually,given time to plan for these things, the travel isn't a bad thing at all. I think that I'm just spoiled because I'm in Bethel every weekend in the summer, so the NEFR is basically in my back yard.

thinking about the new hillclimb end of the eastern region deal....

it would appear on the outside looking in that someone who runs and does well in all the hillclimbs could infact WIN the RA Eastern title, with out ever completing one traditional rally.

CARS and NASA do seem more appealing.

I'm still rockin big NASA Rallysport decals under the sweep backers. I don't plan on taking them off. TG threw a hissy fit about them when I helped out at the worker training day the weekend before NEFR.

you have a point, at least in the legal sense

but a rally team WILL win the championship and here's why and how: rally team with well prepped fast car for its class shows up at a couple of hillclimbs, and just does their thing and goes like hell and don't hit stuff, they would absolutely destroy the hillclimb contendAs who never braved their way onto gravel. hell they might even beat most of the hillclimbers anyway....
