I'd recoomend picking up a ebrake rebuild kit too
that's why you bring it to a subaru dealer they know what they are doing. Not to bash midas or places like that but half of them don't know what they are doing. Some people say its just brakes they are all the same, that is far from true haha.midas destroyed my ebrake springs getting the rotors loose. good thing is they got it off. bad news they took the shoes and springs off and put them i a box for me and said i needed new ones:rant:. umm.......i have a box of **** that i don't know how should go back on when i get new partsthis guy is not happy.been lookin around for the past couple hours to find a pdf of how they should go together or a pic, but little has turned up. anyone got anything let me know. thanks
yeah i did that and adjusted them on the ebrake screw themselves. thanks evan. rust put up a damm good fight, but i won in the endthe ebrake works fine? you should try jacking up the rear and lightly putting on the ebrake, then trying to spin the wheels and see if they have equal (or close to equal) braking applied to them.
this happened before i did my rear brake upgrade and it was a lip of material on the inside drum, as you said might have been the problem.
