Yes, and no, the warning was legit because I carried a conversation back and forth and apparently typed it too quick while in two different quizes. It did have links to click on, which I did, but they just contained more information. Nothing strange popped up or anything like that.
The virus you are speaking of says, "Your friend Bill reported this content as offensive, please click here to delete it before Facebook staff sees it" or something like that.
HOWEVER, I decided to create a blogspot yesterday and I put the link on my Facebook. When I copied the link to send it to my friend today in Facebook IM, it said, "Someone reported this link as offensive" but didn't have anything to click on. I closed out by doing "Control ALT Delete" rather than the "x" in the corner of the warning. Disk cleaned, changed my password, ran a scan, everything. YUCK.
I typed the link in the IM and it was fine- but the link- when I did copy it, it did have extra number and letter characters in it. I deleted the post.
I am sure mine was legit due to the friend to comment ratio and the messages back and forth to my best friend in our inboxes. If I had more friends, and talked just the same, it would have been fine, but I've actually been deleting them, so I have an even tighter squeeze. I've made 7 photo comments and 2 status updates, and commented under 3 status messages... this has all been within the past 2 days, and I haven't gotten a warning. I AM getting CAPTCHAs when I send website links in private messages- which was twice today to the same friend. But there aren't warnings with it.
