So I chaperoned a dance at the school where I teach last night...

ok this is going to sound bad butttttt........... Back in middle school, I was so awkward that I only danced with a couple girls, one being one of my COUSINS! HAHAHAHAHA it wasn't anything more than a pitty thing so I wasn't standing there all alone but still. haha oh those were the days. Crap, I didn't even get made fun of it back in school either! Now, had that happened a couple years later in high school it definitely would have brought on some teasing. Only went to a couple in high school. I have never been a confident dancer. I do recall taking the current girl friend to one and she decided it would be fun to laugh (supposedly with me, but I wasn't laughing) at my dancing ability and proceeded to tell me it was ''cute." I believe that was the last time I went to a dance prior to prom. Heck, I didn't even dance at my friends Jewish wedding and EVERYONE dances at those. See how badly I was scarred! Damn dances! Ruined me for life.

Sadie Hawkins is a dance where the girls ask the guys out, and you're supposed to wear flannel shirts- not get dressed up. I was too shy to ask anyone out (even though I was pretty slutty) but was asked by several guys. CottonEyed Joe; BlackStreet; NIN; Murder Was The Case- Snoop Dogg; SWV hits from back in the day; embarassed to say this--> Macarena; Grand Puba- 2000; they busted out with some Skee Lo- I Wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller.... ; took it back in the day with Licensed to Ill from Beastie Boys; IceCream Man by Raekwon; pretty much any Wu Tang song; Violent Femmes- Blister in the Sun; Marilyn Manson; I can go on and on.

I went to a dance in Brunswick at a church- I think it was St. John's- I basically supplied them with a ton of cds- this place was so cheesy, my music made it better.

I never went to a prom cause I got with Gabe and he was significantly older than me.

 
actually (blushing) I was thinking what I said and apparently typed that. I guess any guy that asked me out back then, I just dated, at the same time. From the time of 4th grade til 9th, I had multiple boyfriends and never was single.

I guess what I was saying was I never really asked the guys out, which was what you were supposed to do with this specific dance.
