Speed limiter

So today I realized my OBS has a 110 speed limiter. Has plenty of more power. I was only tacking 4 grand in fifth. How hard is it to get rid of that. Will it need a flash or is there a simper way to do this.

If you unplug the vss the computer won't know how fast you're going. And you can go as fast as you want.

But really only 4k at 110? In my legacy I do almost exactly 90 at 4k rpms. And I have the long fifth gear and 3.9 diffs. But only 14" wheels, so you must have considerably larger wheel size?

Or you have a 5 speed auto in your OBS...?

He's got a 2.5
Whoops, when he mentioned his bronzish bottom color I immediately thought of the non-silver GF OBSes with the goldish bottom.

(on that note, I think we should bring back putting vehicle under the name in every post)

although on that note, I just checked his profile and saw he does have a GF. Was it a swap?

Spiller, do you have a GPS you can use/borrow to see if your speedometer is actually telling you the right speed?

Why does it matter that he has a 2.5? It will still have the same gear ratio.

I do Not Lie. It does have a 2.5 swap. Gears and everything I believe are stock unless the guy before me was a 70 year old bad ass. Its a 5 speed manual with a cobb cold air intake and a cat back exhaust. I'm going to a fuji before cat back with a cat delete pipe though. I do have a gps and I checked both speedo and gps and they are both reading the same. I have 16 inch wheels with 205 55 16 tires. Where is the vss sensor?

It is about 6" behind the tranny oil dipstick with 2 wires coming out of it.

I didn't think there was any EJ tranny/diff setup that put 5th gear higher than what's in my legacy.

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and say it. Why would you want to go more then 110 on an old OBS?

I agree that it's not necessary, but I know that all of my GC's have felt plenty comfortable at the higher speeds. My RS would do 120+ with no issues
